I must repost infinitely! Just kidding; I will reblog after this! If you don’t know Daphne Guinness, check out her Instag., tumb, fb, twtr, and her several videos, interviews, and fashion films mainly on showstudio’s tumblr, a website started by Nick Knight. Tony Visconti was a producer on Bowie’s albums throughout his career off and on but mostly in his early career; even his best-selling I believe; “The Next Day.” I never quite figured out why people loved that album the MOST out of all of David Bowie’s huge list of great albums! Oh well I should know better that my tastes are never the same compared to everyone else’s for the most part, and that’s with everything. David LaChapelle is a genius photographer and director. Tony produced for lots of great singers too! He sings and is a musician as well. I am crazy and have played this video by Daphne Guinness over a few dozen times since i found it a few days ago. Lots of critics on you tube so far, who cares?? Mid-class tastes. They also hated Bowie, The Beatles, Gaga, Grace Jones, and many other greats that this video brings to mind for me. Her voice…it’s hard to say how I feel about it. I will have to see how other songs off of her album I cannot WAIT to hear, that comes out this September. I know it won’t reach the charts when I consider the tastes of most people in the U.S. but perhaps other countries will give it the applause it deserves. I wish so much that the U.S. was half awake in order to find what good taste really is. They are asleep though, too numbed out to even see what they are supposed to see and hear around them. They instead just follow what twitter says to. This video is sooooo great, and I love how it takes me away to another world, over and again, I lay down, turn off all of the lights, and follow her to the places she takes me. The clothing is so beautiful I cannot believe it! I will look up the designers on musicfashionland by the same woman who did gagafashionland. She is incredible, along with her blogs.
This may not be the best shot but the designer Kathleen Crowley made this amazing pleather as Gaga asked for, with that amazing fit, and amazing design! Look at the collar, shoulder pads, belt, and lapels…Uh Mah Gawd. Later of course, she said, it was altered. The studs were added and a few other things, as Gaga’s people always do.
